Doing More with Less Conference is a regional conference for emerging senior pastors and their staff scheduled Monday, April 30 - Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in Memphis, Tennessee at New Direction Christian Church.

Leadership Network has teamed with Dr. Stacy L. Spencer to bring you a regional conference that will address issues the church is facing in these tough economic times. With the high rate of unemployment, decreased giving and other variables, churches are facing tougher times. At Doing More with Less Conference, we will come together for a day and a half to tackle pertinent topics and participate in breakout sessions to brainstorm and figure things out.

TOPICS

SOCIAL JUSTICE
A panel discussion to address important factors that affect our communities and the individuals we serve. Panelists include: Pastor Freddie Haynes, Senior Pastor of Friendship West Baptist Church, Dallas, TX, Pastor E. Dewey Smith, Senior Pastor of Greater Travelers Rest in Decatur, GA and Pastor Jamal Bryant, Senior Pastor of Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, MD.

MINISTERING TO THE LEAST OF THESE
In these sessions we will address opportunities to serve the least of these as well as address managing our dwindling resources and getting people out of debt. Presenters include Pastor DeForest "Buster" Soaries, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, NJ.

SERVING THE POOR
Our Luncheon Keynote will be addressed by Pastor Matthew Barnett, Senior Pastor of The Dream Center in Los Angeles, CA.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
It is very important for the church to step up to address issues with neighborhoods and communities becoming waste places and community eyesores as retailers and residents move out. We will come together to discuss how the church can partner with local government and other entities to transform our communities into more viable neighborhoods. Dr. Stacy L. Spencer, Senior Pastor of New Direction Christian Church will lead this discussion along with Pastor Floyd Flake, Senior Pastor of The Greater Allen AME Cathedral of New York.
