New Direction Christian Church is the site of the"Transforming the Hood for Good"
Summit hosted by Dr. Stacy L. Spencer, located at 6120 Winchester Road in
Memphis, Tennessee. Passionately referred to as the "Power Center", New Direction
Christian Church is itself an example of urban revitalization.

Formally an abandoned Service Merchandise building, New Direction Christian
Church is now a sprawling 22 acre campus and real estate development which
includes a 75,000 square foot worship facility that houses a 3,000 seat sanctuary
and a 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art Youth and Children's worship facility. Also
located on the northeast side of the campus is the eclectic Soul Cafe Restaurant
which has brought jobs and commerce back to the area.

Plans are now underway to develop a recently acquired, adjacent 2 acre plot of land
into a state-of-the-art health and wellness facility that will provide free dental, fitness
and other medical services to the community.
